Funeral services for Thomas Garfield Campbell, 68, retired school teacher who died of a heart attack Monday, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist Church, with Rev. L.L. Hill and Rev. C.N. Gilbert officiating.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of the Chandler Funeral Home. Graveside services were conducted by the Spur Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Campbell was a native of Arkansas, and came to Texas at the age of 18. He settled in Hood County. He was married to Lucy Peters in 1908. He had made his home in Dickens County since October 1947.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Harold of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. A. Gudgell of St. Louis; one brother, Stokes Campbell of Arkansas, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larry Boothe, Raymond Gilcrease, Jack East, Lawis Lee, W.D. Blair and Ted Darby.
