Maria Luisa Cantu 54, of Spur died Monday January 16, 2005[2006] at her home in Spur. Maria was born May 15, 1951 in San Dusky, Ohio to Juan and Josephine Cantu.
Ms. Cantu had lived in Spur for the last 23 years, and worked as a dietary aide at Dickens County Nursing Home. She had attended St. Marys Catholic Church.
Services were Friday January 20, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church. Burial followed in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur. Rosary was said Thursday January 19, 2006 at 700 P.M. at Campbell Funeral Home Chapel.
Ms. Cantu is survived by her mother Josephine eight brothers, Juan Cantu, Pete Cantu, Chris Cantu, Eliseo Cantu, Abram Cantu, Mike Cantu, Timothy Cantu and Thomas Cantu; three sisters, Eva Stoerner, Isabel Shed and Lucy Manriquez.
She was preceded in death by her father Juan and sister Esmeralda.
