Robert Keeling Caraway, 68 year old native Texan and business man of Spur for the past two years, passed away at the family home in the north part of the city Saturday, May 13, death having been attributed in a summary of paralytic strokes, the second occurring Friday afternoon about 4:00 o'clock.

A first minor shock occurred last summer, but had not prevented Caraway from pursuing his duties, as a member of the Chevrolet sales agency personnel, of which his brother, E.L. Caraway, is owner and general manager.

R.K. Caraway was born in Falls County, Texas, August 24, 1870 where he grew to young manhood. He was married to Miss Theresa Gardner at Hilton, Nolan County..(bad spot on obit-cant read a couple of lines).

Besides the brother here, surviving are the widow and one son, Luther E. Caraway. Luther is also an employee of the motor agency here.

Funeral services were spoken in the First Christian Church of Spur Sunday afternoon, May 14, 3:00 o'clock, with Rev. Joe Fredrick, pastor, delivering the solemnities.

Pallbearers were Cecil Addy, Dr. M.H. Brannen, Charlie Powell, A.M. Couch, Dr. Thomas L. Phillips, and J.A. Keen.

Flower girls were Addie Mae Wood, Ruth Estelle Jones, Cecilia Fox and Robbie Jean Bell.

Interment was made in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Rosa Theresa Caraway were held at Campbell's Funeral Home on Friday last week at 3:30 p.m. Rev. John Floyd, pastor of the First Christian Church officiated.

She is survived by one brother, A.C.Gardner, Sweetwater.

Mrs. Caraway came to Dickens County in 1935 and resided at Spur. She married R.K Caraway in Hylton, Texas in 1935.

Pallbearers were Keith Ramsey, Walt Jamison, Louis Green Davis, Lester Garner, J.D. Taylor and Homer Dobbins.
