Spur Boy Is Killed In Accident At Floydada
Clifford Carol, 18 years old, living with his parents on the W.M. Randall place south of Spur, was killed Thursday of last week at Floydada. Clifford was riding on the back of a stripped car being run over a circle track at a resort, when he fell off breaking his neck. His remains were brought to Spur for interment. Another Spur man was also killed near Floydada at the same time, George Welty, by a gravel pit caving in on him.©The Texas Spur, Auguust 1, 1924
