Obituary

Services for Mancho S. Castillo, 73, of Spur were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 1989 in St. Mary´s Catholic Church with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper of Lubbock officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

He died at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 1989 in Lubbock General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Brady and moved to Dickens County in 1959. He married Licha Montemayor July 24, 1936, in Georgetown. He was a farmer and a member of Knights of Columbus and Cursillista.

Survivors include his wife; two son, Cruz of Spur and Joe of Silverton; four daughters, Amelia Castro of Ralls,Bebe Galindo of Lazbuddie and Mary Molina and Dominga Vasquez, both of Spur; three sisters, Nicholasa Castillo of Bakersfield, Calif., Rebecca Marino of Kerman Calif., and Christina Rocha of Madera, Calif.; 38 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
