U.S.Flag   Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. for Ernest V. Kearney, 54. B.C. Stapleton, Lubbock, officiated, assisted by Bob Wille, Spur.

Services were held in the Spur Church of Christ. Mr. Kearney, work order clerk at Dickens County Electric died August 22 in Methodist Hospital. He had been a lifetime resident of Dickens County. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Kearney, Spur and one son, Mike Kearney, Lubbock; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Dalton Lehew, Pat Winkler, Ben Loe, Dwain Green, Bill Hoover and Dennis Lehew.

Honorary pallbearers were employees of Dickens County Electric.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
