Funeral services for Curtis Darrell Patterson, 38, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur.

Rev. Norris Taylor, church pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. C. L. Atkinson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Dickens.

A heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department, Mr. Patterson died about 6 p.m. Monday in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock.

Born in Spur in 1939, Mr. Patterson married the former Ama Sue Watson in Roaring Springs in 1959. He had lived in Dickens since 1960. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dickens and the Odd Fellow Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Patterson, Dickens; a son, Jamie and a daughter, Cynthia, both of the home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Patterson, Spur; one brother, Leon Patterson, Albuquerque, NM and a sister, Miss Earline Patterson, Los Angeles, CA.

Honorary pallbearers will include Dewey Dement, Paul Slough, Ronnie Clay, Van Hammons, Dalmver Goens, Kenneth Stegall and Tommy Donthan.

Active pallbearers will be Hubert Collins, Lewis Mullins, Leroy Hamilton, Bobby Williams, Tommy Clay and Charles Edwards.

Interment will be in the Spur cemetery.
