Biography

William Arthur and George Perry are the sons of Elizabeth Jane Hodges and Alonzo P.Perry. Eliz Jane is daughter of Riley Jordon Hodges and Mary Elizabeth Thomas. Alonzo P. Perry is buried Kiowa cemetery in Roger Mills Co. OK.

Doney Perry
Mrs. W.A. Perry, 75 died about 9:50 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Girard with burial in Spur under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.

She accepted Jesus in early childhood and was a Methodist in belief.

Doney Mae Cutberth was married to William Arthur Perry May 20, 1913 and to this union was born five children.

The Rev. Vernon Hager will officiate with the Rev. Morris Sheats, pastor of Trinity Church and the Rev. J.R. Church, pastor of Western Hills Baptist Church will assist.

Mrs. Perry had been a resident of Girard 25 years until moving to Lubbock five years ago. She was a native of Rush Springs, Okla.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur; two sons, Lee Perry of Houston and Raymond Perry of Amarillo; three daughters, Mr. J.D. Fulcher of Moore, Okla., Mrs. Jim McDonald of 1513 28th St., Mrs. Ben Perry, 2406 30th St. and a grandchild, Wayne Perry whom they raised; three sisters, Mrs. Buck Hodges of 2317 Auburn, Mrs. Lawrence Wilbanks of Spearman and Mrs. Jack Allred of Shreveport, La.; three brothers, Will Cutberth of Colorado, Jack Cutberth of Clinton, Okla. and Lee Cutberth of Arapaho, Okla.; 19 other grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Arthur Perry
Services for W.A. Perry, 82, who died about 7 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Girard.

Officiating will be the Rev. Morris Sheats, pastor of Trinity Church, and the Rev. Frank Radcliff, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Amarillo. Rev. Wilburn Roberts of Lubbock will minister in special music.

Burial will be in Spur Cemetery under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

The Girard local ladies will serve lunch at the local community center for the families, relatives and friends attending.

William Arthur Perry was married to Doney Mae Cutberth May 20, 1913 and to his union was born five children.

Perry of 4306 24th Street, had been a resident of Lubbock some seven years, prior to moving here, he had lived at Girard 25 years.

Mr. Perry was a Methodist in belief. In his latter years he was very close to his Lord and Savior and longed to go home to Heaven.

Survivors include two sons, Lee of Ross-Shire, Scotland, and Raymond of Amarillo; three daughters, Mrs.J.D. Fulcher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Jim McDonald of 1513 28th St., Mrs. Ben Perry of 2406 30th St., and a grandchild, Wayne Perry whom they raised; and 19 other grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
