Funeral services were held Thursday, April 30 for William Burney Terry, 91. Rev. John Jenkins, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated at the services held in Campbell's Funeral Chapel at 4 p.m.

A resident to Spur since 1919, Mr. Terry died in the Kent County Rest Home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Georgia and moved to Spur in 1919.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Annie Robinson, Lawton, OK; Mrs. Ocie Briggs, Willows, CA; Mrs. D.W. Young, Louisville, KY and Mrs. Nellie Winan, Nysa, OR; a niece, Mrs. Jesse Young, Phoenix, AZ; three nephews, Troy Terry, Ohio; Roy and Luke Terry, Oklahoma City, OK.

With none of the immediate family on hand it is expected that an application for administration will be filed immediately in the Dickens County Commissioners Court.
