Funeral Services Conducted For Delma Lorena Thomason

Funeral services were held Friday, March 6 at the First Baptist church for Delma Lorena Thomason, 34, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Thomason, who died Tuesday night about 7:20 at their home west of Spur after an illness of several months.

Delma, who was born in Stephen county, TX, April 3, 1912, moved to Dickens county with her parents in 1923. She was converted when 14 years of age and was affiliated with the Baptist church at Dry Lake.

Services were conducted by Rev. McAuley and Rev. C. N. Gilbert, pastor of the First Baptist church. Arrangements were in in charge of Chandler Funeral Home with interment in the Spur Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lester English, Raymond Powell, Alvis Bilberry, George Sloan, Luther Hindman and E.M. Locke.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Thomason, one sister, Mrs. Ruby Bilberry of Spur and two brothers, Raymond Warren Thomason who lives at home and Cleo Ray Thomason of Houston, also Mrs. Cleo Thomason, a sister-in-law and one niece, Patricia Ann Thomason, one nephew, Michael Ray Thomason all of Houston.
