Funeral services for Raymond Warren Thomason, 69, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Highway 70 Church of Christ. Minister Doug Williams officiated, assisted by Bob Brandon, Merkel, and Bob Wright, pastor of the Spur Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Thomason died Friday, November 11, in the Spur Care Center. He had lived in Dickens County most of his life. He was a retired employee of the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one sister, Ruby Lee Bilberry, Spur, and a brother, C.R. (Mickey) Thomason, Houston.

Pallbearers included Dwain Hudson, Ted Smith, Robert Hahn, Gwyn Long, Larry Bass and Russell Williams.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
