Services for Cecille Vivian Walker, 78, were held May 15 at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Genoa Goad, pastor, officiating.Mrs. Walker died May 13, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness. Born in Denton on November 25, 1909, she had lived most of her life in Dickens County. She was a homemaker and a nurses aide. She married Olney Walker on January 27, 1927 in Dickens.
She was a member of the Spur Art Guild and the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Olney Walker, Spur; one son, Walton Walker, Memphis, TN; two brothers, Frank Duncan, Oliveburst, CA; Hugh Duncan, Garden Grove, CA; four sisters, Jewel Brown, Gridley, CA; Mae Booth, Silverton; Lee Allenbrough and Beulah Hill, both of Winlock, WA; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
