Funeral services for Richard (Dick) L. Walker, 77, were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 in the First United Methodist Church. Church pastor, Archie Echols, officiated.

Mr. Walker, a retired serviceman for West Texas Utilities Co. and owner of the Dixie Dog Drive Inn, died January 14 in the Hamlin Hospital.

He married the former Louise Schmidt in McAllen in 1933. The couple came to Spur from Presidio in 1948. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had been an active booster of Spur High School athletics.

Survivors include his wife,Spur; a son, Robert L. Walker, Bryan; (another son, Richard preceded him in death); a daughter, Mrs, Virginia Ann Davis, New Brighton, MN; and a step-sister, Mrs. Vada Clark, Visilia, CA; and nine grandchildren.

Burial was in the Spur cemetery.
