Frank Watson

Funeral services for a retired Spur druggist, Frank Denton Watson, 77, were held January 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Archie Echols officiated, assisted by Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Watson was declared dead on arrival at Crosbyton Hospital on January 23. He married the former Laverne Sowell in Brownwood in 1926. He had lived in Spur for 51 years and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frank Watson, Spur, one son, Jimmy Watson, Post; a daughter, Sandra Neaves, Belton; and one sister Hazel Watson, Spur; two grandchildren also survive.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
