John Belle Watson

Funeral services for Mrs. John Belle Watson, 71, were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Watson died Aug. 9 in Memorial Convalescent Center, Cleburne. The former John Belle Hargrove married Floy Watson in Dickens in 1954. She had resided in Dickens County since 1923. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Floy Watson, Spur; two sons, Dick Gibson, Lubbock and Ralph Gibson, Amarillo; two stepsons, Dewey Watson, Breckenridge and Charles Watson, Longview; one daughter, Robbie Isom, Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Zella McKinney, Abilene and Glenda Tubbs, Anson; two brothers, Jack and Ralph Hargrove, Ft. Worth; a sister, Cinda Mays, Odessa; nine grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren and two great step-children.

Interment was in Spur cemetery.
