Services for Virgil Wilson of Spur were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26 in Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Victor Crabtree officiated and was assisted by Rev. Bill Sanders of Bethel Baptist, and Rev. Steve Dollaff of Big Spring.

Mr. Wilson died in his home at 534 West Third at 12:30 a.m. Friday. He was a native of Blair, OK. and moved to Dickens County from Claredon in 1929.

The retired farmer was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Spur Masonic Lodge. He was married to Blanche Hamilton, December 25, 1969 in Spur.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bartina Peoples of Tulsa, OK; a step-son, Leroy Hamilton of Houston; two brothers, Leonard of Lubbock, and Billy of Pampa; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Copeland of Altus, OK; Mrs. Tersa Helton of Ft. Collins, CO; and Mrs. Emma Koerr of Friday Harbor, WA.

Three grandchildren: Jimmy Peoples of Tulsa, OK; Lee Hamilton of Houston; and Karyn Hamilton of Houston; also a number of nieces and nephews.

His nephews served as pallbearers.
