Text Box: Elgin Latin Cemetery Association (a registered 501(c)13 charitable organization) maintains a bank account at Franklin Bank, Elgin. As of October 26th, 2007, the balance in the account at the Franklin Bank is $15,557.82. Like all other non-profit cemetery associations, Elgin Latin Cemetery Association depends on contributions from interested persons and businesses to operate.  The primary expense currently is for restoration and maintenance efforts to improve the overall grounds.   We expect that to continue, however, we do have some projects we would like to undertake.  Future projects for the cemetery include placing an inscribed monument near the flag pole in honor of our Veterans of Foreign Wars, purchasing lawn equipment to help in the maintenance, identifying and marking the graves of the unknown, improving the roads in the Cemetery, clearing the brush from the east side, erecting a fence and gate on the entrance side of the cemetery, and other enhancements to the entrance on the north side from Ochoa St. If you have family buried at Elgin Latin Cemetery or expect to be buried there yourself, we encourage you to help us keep this quiet spot of final repose maintained and improved by contributing any amount you are comfortable with.  Please mail your donation to: Elgin Latin Cemetery P.O.
