Installed a new visitor counter. It seems that RootsWeb dropped its support of this function.
Replaced the Search Engine with FreeFind. The Google search utility just wasn't working out.
Minor maintenance on multiple files, typos and such.
Updated "Dear Polly" letters and added it to Letters From The Past.
Updated Gloria Tune Saunders' email address and info in Look-Ups.

3 Jan. 2017 Reformatted and moved The Final 61 obits, which go on the Obituaries, Death Notices and Memorials page. All of the major collections of material have now been remodeled. Only about 200 stray files remaining.
2 Jan. 2017 Reformatted and moved 45 more obits to the new Obituaries, Death Notices and Memorials page.

Shooting of Deputy Sheriff Gathings remodeled and moved from Crimes to Yesterday's News.
The Murder of William Riley Seaboalt Jr. was remodeled and moved from Crimes to Pioneers of Ellis County.
Repaired broken link to Eliza Sims and Two Libraries & moved it to new section.

Reformatted the final 14 biographies for the Pioneers of Ellis County Menu and moved them to the new side.
Added one orphaned biography (Sanderson and Chapman Families) to the above.
Chased down and deleted 58 duplicate files of these pioneers that were saved to the wrong folder.

Remodeled and moved Sheriffs of Ellis County.

8 Oct. 2016 Formated and posted World War I Burials and World War II Burials. Both appeared to be incomplete projects that Barbara never published.

Moved the links for Jack Lummus Biography Page and Milford Men and Women in Service to the World War II Menu.
Remodeled the Pioneers of Ellis County Menu and reformatted the first 23 biographies that go with it.
7 Oct. 2016 Redesigned and moved 14 additional members of the Camp Winnie Davis from the old roster to the new one. That completes the Camp Roster. In the process I found 5 or 6 files that were not linked or had broken links so there is definately new info for you.
Redesigned the 5 pages of Confederate Pension Applications, repaired 2 broken links and rolled them up into a single file. Then I reformatted and moved Civil War Veterans From Other States. Next comes the Confederate Soldiers Buried in Georgia. All were placed into the Civil War Menu.
Remodeled the Sevier Family Old Letters and the Marchbanks Letters and moved them to Letters From The Past.
Moved the Muster Roll of the Texas Mounted Guards into the Civil War Menu.
Remodeled and moved Spanish American War Burials.
Remodeled and moved The Texas Spirit of '17 - [Ellis County men who served in WW1]
Reformatted and moved World War II War Dead.
Created menus for both World War I and World War II to keep like information together.

27 Sep. 2016 Remodeling news articles and moving them from All The Latest into Yesterday's News. In the process, I located three other files of newspaper clippings on Barbara's harddrive that had been misplaced.
26 Sep. 2016 I had to go back and repair a formatting issue with every file that I had redesigned to date. It was just a one character change, but to each and every HTML page.
Redesigned the following 2 pages and added them to Yesterday's News: News from Ennis Commercial Recorder and The Ennis Weekly Local.

Corrected an error found on the Alex Rankin Home in the Photo Gallery while I was updating a link to the new Rankin page in Ghost Towns.

28 Aug. 2016 Found a lost file that talks about the early days of Ennis and added it to Thriving Cities, Towns and Communities. Found a second version of the History of the CCC Camp, plus a camp roster and two stories written by men that worked there. That's all been placed in Waxahachie. Found a lost article about the Red Oak Institute, later called Ovilla Scool. Look for it in Red Oak.
27 Aug. 2016 Today would have been Barbara Knox's 93 birthday; I'm a little sad.
Began working to remodel the files of the Thriving Cities, Towns and Communities of Ellis County. Remodeled nine files associated with Alma alone, one for Avalon, Ferris, Forreston, Midlothian, Milford, Palmer, five files with Red Oak, and seven for Waxahachie.
Added The Ellis County Press, Ennis Chamber of Commerce, Ennis Historic Landmark Commission, and Ennis Public Library to Addresses You May Need.

26 Aug. 2016 A day and a half marathon overhauling all of the church files. There were several files that were apparently never completed nor uploaded to the website. These may all be seen now in Churches of Ellis County

24 Aug. 2016 All day marathon reorganizing and remodeling 17 cemetery inventories and 3 other files having to do with Cemeteries of Ellis County. Several lost inventories were found and are now accessible. Numerous broken links were repaired.

Added Barbara's 20 Year Service Badge from TXGenWeb. Barbara has been the County Coordinator of Ellis County and Co-Coordinator of Navarro County since September 1996. She had also been Co-Coordinator of Tarrant County for 18 years.

County Coordinator Barbara Knox passed away on January 2, 2016.
