ALEJANDRO
"ALEX" AGUAYO with every passing day we are unable to accomplish what
our Lord truly wants, we seem to only follow our daily routine. On December 15,
1935 in El Paso, Texas, Alejandro "Alex" Aguayo was born and then passed
away at the young age of 65 on September 2, 2001, and left our material world
and was embraced by the loving hands of God. Time and God had molded him into a
servant of his master, a man that walked humbly with his Lord. His life was a
true testament to his one and only God. It seems as if time and God grabbed his
life and held it in their hands and gave him time to fight the good fight.
Through his life he always seemed to do more than his normal routine, more to
show his true heart, enough to bring joy to all who he touched. He took his
good deeds with him and then exchanged it for a crown. He was a strong pillar
at Eastwood Church of Christ. He was a loving husband to his wife of 21 years,
Francisca Aguayo, and most importantly a caring father for his eight children;
his daughters, Nora Garcia (Javier), Ruby Aguayo (Arturo de la Cruz), Andrea
Jones (Roland). His sons, Alex Aguayo Jr. (Cindy), Frank Aguayo (Danielle),
Daniel Aguayo, Juan De LaTorre, Javier Carillo (Lilly). He was a proud grandfather
of 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Alex was preceded in death by
his mother Violeta Aguayo, and survived by his father Samuel F. Aguayo Sr.,
brother Sam Aguayo Jr. (Annie), sister Socorro Avila (Frank), 1 aunt, 1 niece,
and 1 nephew. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Family will be receiving
visitors from 4 to 9 pm and prayer service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, September
6, 2001 at Martin Funeral Home East. Service is to be held at 10:30 am on Friday,
September 7, 2001 at Martin Funeral Home East. Burial will be at Restlawn
Memorial Park on Dyer. With his smiling face he leaves us with many fond memories,
and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. However let us
remember him by 2nd Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have
finished the race, I have kept the faith."

TOUCHED Please don't say I gave up, just say I gave in. Don't say I lost the
battle, for it was God's war to lose or win. Please don't say how good I was,
but that I did my best. Just say I tried to do what's right, To give the most I
could, not to do less. Please don't give me Wings or halos, that's for God to
do. I want no more than I deserve, no extras, just my due. Please don't give
flowers or talk in harsh tones. Don't be concerned about me now, I'm well with
God, I've made it home. Don't talk about what could have been, it's over and
it's done. Just see to all my family needs, the battle has been won. When you
draw a picture of me, don't draw me as a saint. I've done some good, I've done
some wrong, So use all your paint, not just the bright and light tones, Use
some gray and dark. In fact don't put me down on canvas, Paint me in your
heart. Don't just remember good times, but remember some bad. For life is full
of many things, some happy and some sad. But if you must do something then I
have one last Request. Forgive me for the wrong I've done And with the love
that's left Thank God for my soul's resting, Thank God for I've been blessed,
Thank God for all who loved me, Praise God who loved me best.
