I am looking for information on the ARENDELL family of Erath County. Lucy (Lucinda) ARENDELL married William E. MEFFORD in Kentucky.They came to Erath County in 1856. Her brothers Thomas & Arnold came with them. They settled in Stephenville (Erath County). I know most of them are buried in the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Charles Madison HIPP German-ancestors from Rhine River) b.12/06/1846 in Laurens Dist. Clinton area, S.C. Wife Sarah Elizabeth (Sallie) COPELAND of Clinton, S.C. in 12/15/1869. They joined HIPP or COPELAND kin in AR after marriage in Huricane Baptist Church, Clinton. S.C. They had 7 children - My Grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth HIPP married John Henry CAREY in Hempstead, AR.12/25/1898 Mom, Emma Irene CAREY, one of 7, was born Hope, AR. and they came by train to Stephenville 1901 or 1902 to join Grandad CAREY, who came by wagon to join his STONE Erath County cousins in Huckabay, TX. Am curious about exact Cherokee connections listed in U.S. Cherokee rolls. Need info on ancestors and lost twigs of the tree. I have met HIPP men raised by foster parents who have lost their heritage. All they know is they were born in AR.

Searching for any info about two young sisters who were living with their divorced father, Noah WHISENHUNT, in Erath Co. in 1880:
- Susan Whisenhunt, b. 1866 Van Zandt Co.
- Martha Whisenhunt, b. 1870 Van Zandt Co.
They were daughters of Nancy G. CLAY, who was in Van Zandt Co. in 1880 with their two younger brothers. What happened to Susan and Martha after 1880? Did they marry in Erath Co.?.

Family story has it that Walter TRAMELL shot R. Lee OXFORD then Lee's son Walter OXFORD shot Walter TRAMELL. The family consisting of mother Fannie POPE OXFORD, older son Will Lamin and Walter left the county, going to Hot Springs, Garland CO. AR. This probably happened between 1900 and 1908. Does anyone have info on this happening..
