CURTISS COMEDY COMPANY.
The Curtiss Comedy Co., opening at the Grand
Monday night, has demonstrated that it is fully entitled to the patronage of
the best people of the town. The company affords a high class
entertainment at popular prices and is deserving of the large patronage it has
enjoyed over the state, playing for the entire week in such cities as San
Antonio, Austin, Dallas, etc.
The two plays, Monday night, "Down on
the Farm" and next night "A Kentucky Girl" have won the company
a pleasant memory in the mind of every one who witnessed either. They
should have crowded houses, for it is really a most excellent popular priced
company.
Miss Marie Dale, the versatile actress who
appears in the roll of the leading lady, has the ability to bring out the best parts
of the play and she is supported by a splendid company, prominent among whom
are John Keiffer and wife, whose stage name is Grace Diamond. Their
vaudeville specialities are of a high order and they never fail to elicit the
strongest approval from the audience. Miss Ward, McCord, Atkinson, Fuller
and Murphy are all good in their several lines.
"The Senator's Daughter" a
highly pleasing play will be presented tonight. This will portray life in
Washington City and will be characterized by many rich costumes.
