TELEPHONES AT
PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The telephone at our public school
has proven a great convenience. On rainy days our superintendent with high
school boys, as able assistants, is busily employed delivering messages from
parents to children. Yet, considering that we have four hundred pupils, it
would be impossible to allow them to answer the telephone only at the recess.
We would also kindly request the parents to time their messages as far as
possible for the recess. For the convenience of the public the recess periods
are as follows: 10:45 a. m. to 11 a. m., 12 a. m, to 1 p. m., 2:30 p. m. to
2:45 p. m.
