Mrs. Ben Herrington

 

     Mrs. Ben (Nannie Lee) Herrington, 86, of Cego died this morning in a Marlin hospital.

 

     Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Cego Baptist Church. Rev. Glenn Jonas will officiate. Burial will be in Cego Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home in Marlin is in charge of arrangements.

 

     Mrs. Herrington was born Nov. 1, 1901 in Warren County, Tenn., the daughter of John T. Hardcastle and Dora Phelps Hardcastle.

 

     Her family moved to Cego when she was three weeks old and she had resided there all of her life.

 

     On Sept. 29, 1918, she married Mr. Ben O. Herrington. Mr. Herrington died in December 1956.

 

     Mrs. Herrington was the last charter member of the Cego Baptist Church.

 

     Survivors include two sons, Thomas Lee Herrington and Ervin Herrington, both of Cego; a brother, Frank Hardcastle of Temple; a sister, Mrs. Emma Lane of Waco; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

 

     Two sons, Alfred* Herrington and James Earl Herrington preceeded her in death.

 

     The family will be at the Thomas Herrington home in Cego.
