MARLIN-Marvin L. Ramby of Marlin, died Wednesday, Oct. 23,
1991 in a Marlin hospital. He was 85.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Adams Funeral Chapel in
Marlin. Rev. Michael Hyden, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in
Marlin, officiated, and burial was in Hillcrest
Cemetery.
Mr. Ramby was born April 6, 1906 in Oakwood, Texas, the son of Noah T.
Ramby and Annie Ansley Ramby.
He married Ramon(a) Helen Taylor September 25, 1932 in Dallas.
The couple resided in Waco from 1942 until 1975. He retired--from
Montgomery Ward Company in Waco where he was store display manager. The
couple moved to Marlin in 1975.
Mr. Ramby was a member and a Deacon of the First Assembly of God Church in
Marlin.
Survivors include his wife of Marlin; a daughter, Charlotte Ramby of Marlin;
two brothers, Harvey Ramby of Brazoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers were Ken Porterfield, Tommy Goodrich III, Thomas Ramby, Marc
Ramby, Albin Lichnovsky, and Marvin Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. David Fedro, Dr. Martin McKee, Dr. James Bussell,
Dr. H. L. Smith, A. W. Logan, Phillip Pirozzo, Arnold Kunkel, Steve Kunkel,
Henry Rochell, Del Follis, and the Montgomery
Ward Retirees Club.
