BILLY LOUISE "DINK" Blanton - De - Graveside services will be held August 11 at 10
a.m. at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Joe D. Ray will conduct the ceremony. // The
funeral will be under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. / Louise better
known to family and close friends as "Dink" was 81 and passed away Monday, August 7
at Texoma Medical Center where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had
been in declining health for several years. // "Dink " was born near Whitewright, Texas
on Nov. 28, 1918 to Benjamin Franklin Blanton and Francis Hodges Blanton. She was
preceded in death by both her parents, a sister, Dorothy Blanton Wells, and a brother
George W. "Woody" Blanton. // She is survived by one brother, Ben F. Blanton and
wife, Jean of Denison, a niece, Carolyn Wells Dickson, a great-niece Laurie Dickson
Dyer and husband Sean all of Elk in N.C., a great nephew David Carter Dickson III
and his wife Cindy of Mount Airy, NC; two great-great nieces, "Dink's" namesake,
Bevin Louise Dyer and Darcle Ellen Ever, and two great-great nephews, David Carter
Dickson IV and Jack Wells Dickson. (Researcher’s note: Dink was the granddaughter
of Thomas J. Blanton and Eliza Jane Smith.)
