LAFON. She was born 12 November 1903 in Bosque Co. TX, and died 10
January 1985 in Dallas Co. TX. Robert was a farmer in the agricultural
industry and a self-made livestock vet. Robert made the last payment
on the family farm in Nobility, Fannin Co. TX in October, 1960 and died
November 30, 1960. The farm is patented to his father William A. Cowan.
William died in 1941 in Leonard, Fannin Co. TX. Robert bought the farm
from his siblings who were heirs in William's will. Burial was 3 December

Robert served in the United States Army during World War I. He was
inducted May 30, 1918 in Bonham, Fannin Co. TX. He was first in Camp Cody,New
Mexico, second in France from Oct. 13, 1918 until Jan. 26, 1919, third
CampMills in Long Island, NY until date of discharge Feb. 11, 1919.
