HAROLD DOSS - Whitewright - Services were held Monday in Earnheart Chapel for
Harold Doss, 72, retired Whitewright city secretary who died Sunday in a Sherman
hospital.  Rev. William Rogan officiated and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. // Mr. Doss
was born Nov. 27, 1899 in Blue Ridge, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Doss.  He married
Mrs. Kugga (nee Blanton) Hansard Oct. 9, 1954 in Whitewright.  He was a member
of the Presbyterian Church.  He was city secretary here for 25 years.  // Survivors include
his wife of Whitewright; three stepsons, Jack Hansard of Sherman and Ray and
Granvolee Hansard, both of Irving; four sisters, Mrs. Mabelle Owens of Sabinal, Mrs.
Elbert Thompson of Pilot Point,  Mrs. Joe Clark and Mrs. Gene McIvers, both of
Bonham; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  // Pallbearers will be Russell
Summers, D.B. Brooks, Charles Skaggs, Newell Skaggs, J.T. Holloway and Floyd
Bassett.  (Research note:  Kugga Blanton was daughter of  Claude M. Blanton and Fannie
Ann Hunter.  She was the granddaughter of William Howell Blanton and Alive V.
Nicholson.)

 KUGGA DOSS - WHITEWRIGHT - Kugga Doss, 97-year-old Whitewright Nursing
Home resident, died November 17, 1998 at Wilson N. Jones Regional Health System. //
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 12998, in the Earnheart
Funeral Home Chapel in Whitewright.  The Reverend Michael L. Rutledge, Presbyterian
minister, will officiate.  Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery.  // Mrs. Doss was born
March 15, 1901, in Whitewright to Claude and Fannie Blanton.  She married Earl Hansard
on September 18, 1918, in Bells, Texas.  He preceded her in death August 29, 1945.  She
married Harold Doss, October 9, 1954, in Whitewright.  He preceded her in death
November 9, 1972.  // She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Granvolee and
Osalee Hansard of Tom Bean, Jack and Frances Hansard of Sherman and Ray and
 Mary Hansard of Irving; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a half sister,
Christine Walker of Ventura, California.  // The family received friends at the Earnheart
Funeral Home in Whitewright from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 1998.   (Kugga
Hansard Blanton was   the daughter of Claude M. Blanton and Fannie Ann Hunter.  She
was the grandson of William Howell Blanton and Alice V. Nicholson.)
