The Lord's Supper

The communion table at the First Christian Church of Ladonia was a most reverent place each and every Sunday.

John Henry Erwin, one of the elders of the Church, tells this story. " A white linen tablecloth was freshly starched and placed on the Lord's Table every Sunday morning. Mrs R. T. Bartley, Mrs J. D. Fraley, Zella Hulsey, and Beulah Walker were responsible for the white linen cloth and the baking of the unleven bread. Mrs Vista Lawhon, and Mrs J. A. McFarland saw that all did their duties."
