Mr. and Mrs. Roy Porter, Miss Dorothy Porter and H. B. Johnson attended church at Dail Sunday evening. This was the last service conducted by Rev. Bruce Tucker before his departure for Princeton University where he will continue his studies for the ministry.
Miss Dorothy Burks is home from the Paris hospital where she has been receiving medical aid.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Fry motored to Dallas Wednesday.
Mesdames Tom Walker, Roy Porter, and Tom Cain motored to Roxton Wednesday.
Tom Walker and Albert Bartley made a business trip to Greenville Wednesday.
Grover Bishop, Anna Lou and Mrs. Carl Little motored to Dallas Wednesday
to meet Mrs. John A. Bishop who has been visiting John L.
Bishop of Mertzon.
Mr. and Mrs. Blanton Attaway of Irving spent the week end in the city
the guests of the Elgin
Fowlers. Mrs. Attaway is the former Marion Dennis.
Bud Cathy and Snuffy Hulsey spent Thursday in Paris.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Evans and family of Lubbock are visiting her parents
Mr. and Mrs. Newell. Hendrix Jr. and Billy Merrill were in the city Friday.
Mesdames Hughes, Scott, Mitchell, and Bogan were in Greenville Thursday.
The Rev. and Mrs. A. E. Drew were in Grand Saline last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Scott were in the city visiting the O. B. Merrills on Sunday.
Miss Nina Short left a few days ago for Frisco where she teaches music.
Miss Mary Virginia Troy of Honey Grove visited Miss Mary Lucile Cain
last week end.
Cal T. Scott and Miss Elizabeth were in Bonham Tuesday.
Charley Weldon of Greenville was Ladonia visitor the first of the week.
Mrs. Cal T. Scoo and
Miss Elizabeth were in Paris
Monday.
Mesdames Fry, Myrick and Merrill attended the District woman's missionary society which met in Sulphur Springs Friday.
Ben Ed and Miss Mary Jane Fry visited in Como Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Isom are the proud parents of a new baby boy.
Mrs. Isom is at the
Leberman hospital, Commerce, and is doing nicely.
Miss Dorothy Porter left for Blue Ridge Monday morning where she will teach school.
Mrs. H. M. Bramlett and her sister, Miss Wilmette Whitley who is visiting here motored to Tyler the latter part of the week.
Mrs. Earl Smith of Tyler returned to her home Monday after a visit
of several days with
her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Newell.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Davis motored to Tyler last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Pug Miller of Honey Grove were in the city Sunday visiting friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stovall and Billy Hanes motored to DeKalb on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bartley of Dallas were the house guests of the Hubert Bartleys over the week end.
John Haden is visiting his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haden, for a few days before returning to Austin where he will continue his studies in the University.
Miss Ethel Pratt of Leonard was a guest in the home of the Silmans on Sunday.
George Parsons was in Van Sunday.

Rev. and Mrs. E. A. Drew were called to Dallas Monday in response to a message informing them of the passing of Mrs. Drew's brother, William A. Craig Sr.
Mrs. Juanita Brazile and Mrs. J. W. Rogers of Ft. Worth, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. E. M. DeLoach and Mrs. Momie Patterson.

Mrs. Anna Bishop of Arlington is the house guest of the Dewey Bishops.
M. C. Gulledge and family have moved here from Arlington to make their
home. Mr. Gulledge is engaged in Gin business at Pecan Gap.
They reside
at the Jim Raiden home.
B. B. Merrill is now located at the Magnolia station where he will be glad to serve his friends.
Mrs. R. W. Shelton and Mrs. J. F. Ward visited Bud Ward in Ben Franklin Wednesday.
Mrs. J. F. Ward of Enid, Okla. is visiting her two sons, Bud and Punk
and her sister Mrs.
R. W. Shelton. Mrs.Ward left Thursday for Dallas where
she will visit her
sons O. C. and L. M. We were very happy to have Mrs. Ward
call at the News office
where she complimented our efforts to turn out a good
paper and gave a years
subscription.
Mrs. Hubert Bartley and Miss Jessie Stephens were in Paris on Wednesday.

James Riddling who has finished his first three years service in the
regular Army, at San
Antonio, is home on a three months furlough visiting
relatives.
Mrs. Alice Bogan and her son Malcolm of Dallas arrived in the city
Wednesday. Malcolm
returned to Dallas Thursday morning, Mrs. Bogan
remaining for a visit
with the Jim Bogans and other relatives.
George Parsons has purchased the Tate Wilburn Garage.
George Kean and Rosser Neilson were in Dallas Tuesday.
Willie
Pickard who has been in Dallas for several months, is now employed
at the Bennett Barber
Shop.
W. A. Hawkins of Savoy was in the city Wednesday.
Prof. Grady Fowler, Clark Royal and A. B. Beal were in Dallas Sunday.
Mrs. George Kean has returned from Dallas where she visited her daughter,
Mrs. Fulton Murray.
