MRS. ARTHUR LATIMER - TRENTON - Funeral for Mrs. Arthur Latimer, 77, who
died at her home Friday afternoon, will be held today at 2 pm. At Blanton
Chapel near Trenton with burial at Leonard Cemetery under the direction of
Earnheart Funeral Home.
She was born Sarah Jane Hall, Feb. 8, 1897, in Trenton. She married
(William Arthur) Latimer April 12, 1915, in Durant. She was a member of the
Blanton Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Paul of Trenton, and William Arthur,
Jr. of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Mayes, Dallas, and Mrs. Louie
Jackson, Lancaster; three brothers, Ben and Floyd Hall, Leonard, and Otus
Hall of Bonham; six grandchildren and three (rest of obituary missing -
Sarah Jane Hall was the daughter of John Franklin Hall and Josephine
Evaline Blanton. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Blanton
and Sarah Lucretia Boone; her paternal grandparents were Richard H. Hall and Jane Elizabeth Jolly.)Denison Herald, April 17, 1979
ARTHUR LATIMER - Trenton - Funeral for Arthur Latimer, 86, who died in a
Whitewright nursing home Monday, will be held at the Blanton Chapel
Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in the Leonard
Cemetery, Earnheart Funeral Home in charge.
He was born May 3, 1892 in Bee Branch, Ark. He married Sarah J. Hall
April 12, 1925 in Durant. He was a member of the Blanton Chapel Methodist
Church 66 years, and a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, W.A. Jr. of Dallas and Paul of Trenton; two
daughter, Mr. Dovie Mayes of Dallas, and Mrs. Evelyn Jackson of Lancaster.
Two brothers, Harvey of Bonham, and Hubert of California, three sisters,
Mrs. Dorothy Adams of Garland, Mrs. Georgia Vandergriff of McKinney, and
Mrs. Gracie Roberts of California; 6 grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the Earnheart Funeral Home chapel in Trenton from
7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
