Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church

Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church was organized in 1885 under the leadership of Rev. A.W. Mayfield. Mrs Margie Cullens named the church. The membership consisted of forty-eight members. There have been 16 pastors at Mt. Pisgah. Rev. L.T. Thompson served the longest term 1959 - 1971. On September 9, 1965, Rev. Thompson had the church moved to its present location. The plot was provided by Mr & Mrs J. W. Askew. The church was bricked under the leadership of Rev. J.R. Barnett in 1983. C.W. Pruitt attended this church as a youth, and is now the pastor.
