LEONARD - Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Grove Hill Cemetery for Mrs. Jerry Kathryn Johnson, 74-year-old retired
schoolteacher of Whitewright. She died Tuesday at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman. // The Rev. Jeff Garrett will officiate, with arrangements by Taylor Funeral Home. // Mrs. Johnson was born in Leonard, the daughter of Jess Blanton and Una Richardson Blanton. She married Ivan Johnson April 17, 1946, in Denison. // She formerly taught kindergarten in Greenville, Ohio, and retired from the Tom Bean Independence School District. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewright and the Texas Retired teachers Association. // Surviving are her son; daughter; brothers, John Charles Blanton of Sherman and J.M. Blanton of Whitewright; two granddaughters and one great-grandson. // The family will be at the Johnson home, north of Whitewright from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. //
