    Harper, Mary Etta - Funeral services will be conducted in the Memorial Chapel, Greenlawn Mortuary Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. for Mary Etta Harper, 92, 567 Acacia Ave., who died April 9 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. O.B. Robertson, minister of the First Southern Baptist Church will officiate at the services and interment will follow in the Garden of Memory section, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Harper, a native of Texas, had resided in Kern County 11 years. she was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons Hiram, Texas; John, Oklahoma; and Richard, Healdsburg; five daughters, Bessie Smith, Bakersfield; Essie Tubb and Mary Lou Coffer, both of Riverside; Opal Herndon, Santa Ana; and Pearl Graves, Los Angeles. (research note – Mary Etta Feagans Harper, born Jan. 8, 1873 in Whitewright, TX, was the widow of Middleton "Milt" Blackwood Harper.  She was the daughter of Daniel Feagans and Mary Ann Blanton and the granddaughter of pioneers Stephen Fletcher Blanton and Sarah McDaniel and of Jackson Feagans and Ann Liles aka Ann Lyles.)

MAURINE FEAGANS RHUDY - Maurine was born on December 8, 1922, in the Cherry Mound Community.  She died Wednesday, February 2, 2003, in Savoy, Texas, at the age of 80 years.
   Services will be held Saturday, February 8, at 10 a.m. at the
Mullican-Little Chapel in Bells.  Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery
near Ravenna.  Services will be conducted by her cousin, Mr. Artie
McClemore.
   She was the daughter of Cecil and Faye Price Alverson.  She was the fist
born grandchild on both sides of the family.
   Maurine attended school in the Desert and Whitewright communities and
graduated from Bells in 1940.  She married Roscoe Feagans, August 6, 1940,
in the Ambrose community.  They had one child.  Roscoe preceded Maurine in
death, September 16, 1969.
   Maurine married Earl Rhudy in June 1970.  Earl preceded her in death
September 1985.
   Maurine is survived by her only daughter, Ann Dicken and husband Lyndon
of Bells; two grandsons, Marty Dicken of bells and timothy Dicken of
Oklahoma city, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles Alverson and wife, Oleta of
Savoy, Texas; several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law
and cousins.
   Maurine spent he early years as a housewife and mother.  Later, she
attended TWU in Denton and began a career in the Bells School Cafeteria.
From there she continued her career in the Savoy School System, where she
was the cafeteria manager.
   Maurine was a member of the Savoy church of Christ.  Throughout the
years, she also attended the Fairview Church of Christ and the Mt. Zion
Baptist Church, both in Ector.
   Pallbearers will be Mary Dicken, Timothy Dicken, Ronnie Rhudy, Harry Elk,
Galion Moore and J.D. Moore.
   Family visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mullican Little
Funeral Home. (research note - Roscoe Feagans was the son of Conrad Plato
Feagans and Ila Lea Martin.  He was the grandson of Daniel Feagans and Mary
Ann Blanton and the g-grandson of Stephen Fletcher Blanton and Sarah
McDaniel.)

SERVICES HELD FOR P.L. FEAGANS
   Preston Lane Feagans, 88, passed away Sept. 3 at the home of his son,
Reuben Feagans after an illness of several weeks.
   Funeral services were held Sept. 5 in Bell Baptist Church where he was a
member.  The pastor, Rev. W.D. Lackey, officiated at the services and
interment was in Oak Lawn.
   Pallbearers were Lee Reeves, Ivan Holland, Glenn Rieger, Calvin Faulkner,
Richard Bishop, Willie Jobe, Roy Elliott, and Jasper Allen, all of Decatur.
   Mr. Feagans was born in Grayson county, Feb. 14, 1875.  He married Miss
Laura E. Binion in 1898 and they later lived in Jones and Floyd counties
before moving to Wise county in 1937.  They lived on a farm in the Brumbalow
community until he retired in 1949 and moved to Decatur.  Mrs. Feagans
passed away in 1961.
   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Jeter of Wichita Fall and Mrs.
Fess Whitfield of Floydada; and one son, Reuben Feagans, of Decatur.

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. LAURA E. FEAGANS
   Mrs. Laura E. Feagans, 82, passed away at her home in Decatur April 12
after a long illness.
   Mrs. Feagans was born and grew up in Grayson county and had lived in
Jones, Haskell and Floyd counties before moving to Wise county in 1937.
   She is survived by her husband, Preston Feagans; one son, Ruben Feagans
of Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Jeter of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Grace
Whitefield (sic Whitfield) of Florida (sic Floydada) ; fifteen grandchildren
and eighteen great-grandchildren.
   Services were held Friday, April 14 in the Fundamentalist Baptist Church
in Decatur with the pastor, Rev. William Savage, Rev. R.H. Watkins, pastor
of the Bell Baptist Church and Rev. Don Spain of Bonham, officiating.
   Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Dick Bishop, Roy Elliott, Sam Waldrop, Earl Mooney,
Tommie Rosenburg and Harless Rhine, all of Decatur.
