EVELYN O. TEEL at Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro.  She was born June
20, 1915 in
   Evelyn O. Teel, 83, of Delight died May 15, 1999, at Pike County Hospital
in Murfreesboro.  She was born June 20, 1915 in Antoine, daughter of the
late Alvin and Ora Dowdle Owen.  She was a former beauty shop owner-operator
and a member of  Delight Church of Christ.  She was the widow of R.P. Teel
and was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Teel, and a stepdaughter, Wilma
Howell (sic Howl).
   Survivors include:  Two sons, Robert Teel of Antoine and Dale Teel of
Delight; a brother, Ralph Owen of Vallejo, Calif; and four grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was today at Delight Church of Christ with Wallace Alexander and
Randy Hughes officiating.  Burial was in Antoine Cemetery under the
direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.   (research note: Evelyn Owen
Teel's husband Robert Paschal Teel was the son of William Burr Teel and Emma
Louise Blanton.  He was the grandson of Benjamin Franklin Blanton, a CSA
veteran, and Julia Ann Blanton [maiden name same surname] and of Asa Harper
Teel and Lovenia Barnes.  He was the great-grandson of Benjamin Edward
Blanton and Mary Feagans of Rutherford Co., NC and of Fannin Co., TX
pioneers, Stephen Fletcher Blanton, a CSA veteran, and Sarah McDaniel.

HORACE KENDALL TEEL
   Arkadelphia - Horace Kendall Teel, 12, Delight, son of Mrs. Evelyn Teel
and the late Robert Teel died today in a Texarkana hospital.  He also is
survived by two brothers, Robert and Dale Teel, Delight; a half sister,
Wilma Howl, Vernon, Tex., and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Owens,
Delight.  Funeral services will be conducted in the Church of Christ,
Delight at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow with burial in Antoine Cemetery by Murray
Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.  (Horace Kendall "Kenny" Teel was the grandson of
William Burr Teel and Emma Louise Blanton.  He was the great-grandson of
Benjamin Franklin Blanton, a CSA veteran, and Julia Ann Blanton [maiden name
same surname] and Asa Harper Teel and Lovenia Barnes.  He was the
great-great-grandson of Benjamin Edward Blanton and Mary Feagans of
Rutherford Co., NC and of Fannin Co., TX pioneers, Stephen Fletcher Blanton,
a CSA veteran, and Sarah McDaniel.)


BAINES-BOATRIGHT
   Lillian Baines-Boatright, 80, passed away Saturday, June 26th, 1993.  She
was born July 27, 1912, at Yale, Oklahoma.   She was the daughter of Noah
Columbus and Mary Addie Blanton Sweatt.  She was reared and educated in Ft.
Gibson, OK.  After receiving her high school diploma, she began her college
career Sept. 8, 1930.  She earned her teaching certificate May 28, 1932 and
continued to earn her B.S. degree from NSU in July of 1935.  While at NSU,
she was a member of Delta Sigma epsilon Sorority.  She began her teaching
career first at Kinta, OK, and then Tulsa and later at Vinita.  She taught
for 43 years, 40 of those were in the Tulsa schools.
   She married Thomas W. Baines in Tahlequah, Dec. 24, 1933.  Their first
home was in Tahlequah, then Tulsa.  There were two sons born to this union,
Jerry and Thomas Baines.
   She married Ray Boatright in Tulsa, OK on March 6, 1959.  They made their
home in Vinita.  He died Aug. 25, 1961 and she continued to teach and live
in Vinita, for a time.  Then she returned to Tulsa in the early 1960's.  She
was a resident of Tulsa until 1992 when she moved to the Baptist Retirement
Center in Owasso, but her health failed so she moved to Claremore's Wood
Manor Nursing Home in August 1992.
   Services will be in Fitzgerald Funeral Service Chapel, 14th & Boulder,
Tulsa, on Tuesday June 29, 1993, at 10:00 a.m.     Interment will follow at
2:00 p.m. at Ft. Gibson Citizen Cemetery also called "Cherokee National
Cemetery".
   Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Jerry and Gwen Baines,
Claremore; Thomas and Elaine Baines, Naperville, IL; a sister, Marguerite
Stauss-George, Coweta; and five grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by
a brother, Loys Sweatt.
   Services are under direction of Rice Funeral Services, Claremore

   (research note: Nadine Lillian Sweatt Baines-Boatright was the
granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin Blanton and Julia Ann Blanton of Fannin
and Grayson Counties.  Her great-grandparents were Fannin Co., TX pioneers
Stephen Fletcher Blanton, a CSA veteran, and wife Sarah McDaniel and
Benjamin Edward Blanton and wife Mary Feagans of Rutherford Co., NC. )

ALTON FULTS, 69
Final rites for David Alton Fults, 69, who died Oct. 14th in Electra
Memorial Hospital, were held Tuesday, Oct. 16th at 3 p.m. in Totten-Day
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Gresham, pastor of First Baptist Church
officiating.  Interment was in Eastview Cemetery in Vernon.
He was born Jan. 26, 1915 in Honey Grove, son of the late William David and
Eula May Hightower Fults.  He married Jean Sanderson in Henrietta, July 12,
1939.  He had lived in Electra the past 10 years moving here from Longmont,
Colo.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from the City of
Electra Water Department.
Survivors include: his wife, Jean Fults (nee Evelyn Jean Sanderson) of
Electra; two sons, David Fults of Houston and Jerry Fults of Santa Barbara,
Calif.; two brothers, Irby D. Fults of Blakewood, Colo., and William B.
Fults of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Doris Withers of Dallas and Irma
Hensley and Billie Hammonds, both of Forth Worth; five grandchildren.  He
was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Fults who died in 1970.  Pallbearers
were Tommy Tucker, Barry Morris, Billy Ray Wright, George Dale Howel (sic
Howl) , Sonny Pulliam and Kenneth Teel.  (research note:  Evelyn Jean
Sanderson was the daughter of Thomas Karl Sanderson and Mattie Luvenia Teel.
She was the granddaughter of William Burr Teel and Emma Louise Blanton.  Her
g-grandparents were Asa Harper Teel and Lovenia Barnes and Benjamin Franklin
Blanton, a CSA vet,  and wife Julia Ann Blanton.  Her gg-grandparents were
Fannin Co., TX pioneers Stephen Fletcher Blanton, a CSA vet, and Sarah
McDaniel.
