jail, 16 occupants -- 14 white and 2 colored. Of this number five have been sentenced
to the penitentiary as follows:
Frank Lewis, theft of money; two years.
Bob
Morris, theft of money; two years.
Dennis Brown (colored), rape; two years.
Joe
Warren and Frank Howard, brought here from Wood County, charged with burglary,
were acquitted; but they are under sentence of two years each for forgery in Wood
County. |
