Mrs. Sarah C. Haley To Be Buried Thursday |

FORNEY, Texas, Oct. 4 - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Forney Baptist Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery for Mrs. Sarah Catherine Haley, 92, resident of Forney forty-seven years, who died at her home. Wife of the late Phil Haley and a native of Missouri, she came to Texas in 1862, the family locating first in Falls County where they lived two years, removing to Dallas County near the Buckner Orphans Home, then to Forney in 1892. She was the mother of three children, two of whom preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Tom Haley, Mesquite; a granddaughter, Mrs. Phillip Payne, New York, and two great-grandchildren. Note: Sarah Catherine Hailey is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born February 13, 1847 and died August 28, 1939. |
