Age 84, of Seminole. Services in
Singleton Chapel of the Chimes. Burial in Seminole Cemetery under the
direction of Singleton Funeral Home. Died August 1979 in
Albuquerque, New Mexico in Veterans Administration Hospital after a long
illness. Married Willie Mae Finnell 6 November 1921 in Sugar
Grove, Arkansas. Survivors: wife, Willie Mae Finnell
Scantling; sons W. H. Scantling, Jr. of Stockton, California, Sid
Scantling of Dublin, Leroy Scantling of Big Spring, Donald Scantling of
Buffalo, Wyoming and Robert Scantling of Los Lunas, New Mexico;
daughters Mrs. Everett Lee of Gallup, New Mexico, Dorothy Ornelas of
Carlsbad, New Mexico, Mrs. Robert Foster of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and
Mrs. R. C. Brown of Sundown; a number of grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. |
