Berry, Edwin Lee "Ed" Age 85, of Seagraves, retired farmer and paint contractor.  Funeral Services 2 January 1998 in Seagraves Church of Christ.  Burial in Seagraves Cemetery under direction of Head Family Funeral Home of Seagraves.  Died 30 December 1997 in Brownfield.  Born 24 December 1912 in Rule.  Married Dollie Mae King 5 October 1932 in Lovington, New Mexico.  Survivors:  Wife, Dollie Mae King Berry; two sons, Edwin Dwane Berry of Maitland, Florida and Otis Don Berry of Amarillo; two sisters, Marie Crabtree of Andrews and Dorothy Olinger of Almogordo, New Mexico; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Espinoza, Joseph Infant, of Seminole.  Graveside services 26 December 1997 in Gaines County Cemetery.  Burial under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  Died 24 December 1997 at Seminole Memorial Hospital.  Born 24 December 1997.  Survivors:  Parents Manuel and Eva Espinoza; sisters Michala Espinoza, Jessica Espinoza, Beatrice Espinoza and Mari Espinoza, all of Seminole; paternal grandparents Antonio and Maria Espinoza of Seminole; material grandparents Bobbie and Connie Balboa of Liford.
McFarland, B. A. Age 84, of Seagraves, retired farmer.  Funeral services 27 December 1997 at Chruch of the Nazarene.  Burial in Seagraves Cemetery under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.  Died 23 December 1997 at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.  Born 5 May 1913 in Gregg County.  Married Sarah Emma Guynes on 18 October 1931 in Lovington, New Mexico.  Survivors:  Wife, Sarah Emma Guynes; three daughters, Billie King of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Betty Medlin of Loop and Barbara Abbott of Andrews; son, Bob McFarland of Seagraves; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Shanklin, Thelma J. Age 84, of Levelland.  Funeral Services 2 January 1998 in Head Family Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial in City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.  Died 28 December 1997 in Lynwood Manor Nursing Home in Levelland.  Born 24 July 1913 in Holland.  Preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Shanklin, in 1989 and son Emzell Ward in 1977.  Survivors:  Son Rudell Ward of Levelland; daughter Thelma Newton of Farmington, New Mexico; sister Ruth Willis of Levelland; eighteen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Spence, Cleo Age 79, of Seagraves.  Funeral services 27 December 1997 in First United Methodist Church.  Burial in Seagraves Cemetery under direction of Head Family Funeral Home of Seagraves.  Born 30 January 1918 in Pampa.  Married Lee Roy Spence on 20 February 1937 in Pampa.  Preceded in death by her husband on 3 March 1987.  Survivors:  Son, Richard Lee Spence of Arlington; three brothers, Paul Barrett, Floyd Barrett and Raymond Barrett, all of Pampa; three sisters, Glad Wilkerson of Oklahoma City, Pauline Arnold of Dallas and Doris Bateman of Spearman; three grandchildren.
