Allen, David Kent

Funeral services for David Kent Allen, 51, of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. bobby Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. 
Mr. Allen passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born October 10, 1955 to M.J. and Wilma Allen in Seminole Texas. He had lived in Seminole all his life. He married Nancy Whitaker on March 31, 1976 in Seminole. Mr. Allen worked as a rig supervisor in the oilfield and was a Baptist. He was a loving father, son, brother, and grandfather.  Survivors include -- Wife, Nancy Allen of Seminole, Texas; parents, M.J. & Wilma Allen of Seminole, Texas; son, David James Dean Allen of Seminole, Texas; daughter, Stormy Michelle Torres of Seagraves, Texas; brothers, Jackie Wayne Allen of Midland, Texas and Paul Dwight Allen of Taos, New Mexico; sister,  Linda Mae Jetton of Denver City, Texas and six grandchildren.

Carter, Nell Dean Nunley Age 77, of Seminole, died 5 May 2006 in Odessa.  Funeral services 8 May 2006 in the M. S. Doss Community Chapel in Seminole.  Interment in Gaines County Cemetery under direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.  She was born 24 April 1929 in Shackelford County, Texas to Porter Dean and Margie Ethel Nunley.  She married Victor Jack Carter in 1948 in Lubbock.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Cliff Nunley, Jim Nunley and Bob Nunley; and a sister, Maurene Greenlee Davis.  Survivors:  Husband, Victor Jack Carter of Seminole; two daughters, Susan Masters of Odessa and Kay Utsinger and husband Kelly of Amarillo; one son Bruce Carter and wife Hazel of Atwood, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Lisa Armstrong of Odessa, Monte Masters of Rowlett, Amy Utsinger Rogers of Amarillo and Emily Utsinger of Amarillo; five great-grandchildren, Brance and Bailey Armstrong of Odessa, Abby, Brett and Chad Masters of Rowlett.

Dawson, Ruby Mae

Funeral services for Ruby Mae Dawson, 77, of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Revs. Paul Adkinson and Jessie B. Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Gaines County Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  Mrs. Dawson passed away Friday, December 22, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Seminole. She was born March 5, 1929 in Paris, Texas and had lived in Seminole since 1957, moving from Abernathy. She married Roosevelt Dawson in 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. Mrs. Dawson is preceded in death by her husband Roosevelt in 1991. Survivors include:   Sons, Henry Dawson of Kermit, Texas, Johnny Lee Dawson of Hobbs, New Mexico, Roosevelt Dawson, Jr. of Ft. Loewen, Anna Age 78, of Seminole, homemaker.  Died 3 October 2006 at her residence.  Services 17 October 2006 at Reinlander Mennonite Church.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery.  Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  She was born in Mexico.  Survivors:  Sons, Peter Loewen of Canada and Henry Loewen, Frank Loewen, Jake Loewen, John Loewen, Abe Loewen and Nick Loewen, all of Seminole; daughters, Nettie Broning, Mary Enns and Eva Friesen, all of Seminole and Anna Knelsen of Bolivia; brothers, Jacob and John Kethler, both of Mexico, and Peter Kethler of Canada; sisters, Agantha Friesen and Margarita Hildebrant, both of Mexico; forty grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Logan, Tommie Joe Age 69, of Seminole, farmer and rancher.  Died 19 January 2006 in Seminole.  Services 21 January 2006 at First Baptist Church.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery in Seminole.  Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  Born in Coryell County; Army veteran.  Survivors:  Son, Joe B. Logan of Seminole; daughter, Amy Logan of Seminole; five grandchildren.
Long, Michael Edward Age 48, of Seminole, construction worker.  Died 28 April 2006 at his residence.  Memorial Service 5 May 2006 at Boyer Funeral Home.  Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  He was born in Norrilton, Arkansas.  Survivors:  Wife, Pamela Williams Long of Seminole; daughters, Joyciemae Williams and Rosa Williams, both of Seminole.
