Martens, Elizabeth Age 63, of Seminole, homemaker.  Died 24 July 2006 in Mexico.  Services 28 July 2006 at Mennonite Evangelical Church.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery.  Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  She was born in Mexico.  Survivors:  Daughters, Catarina Dueck and Helena Dueck, both of Seminole; brothers, Henry Loewen and Didrich Loewen, both of Mexico and Jacob Loewen of Bal; sisters, Margaret Klassen, Helena Schultz, Tina Fehr, Sara Fehr, Susie Wiebe and Anna Martens, all of Mexico; six grandchildren.
Mata, Jose C. Jr. Age 81, of Seminole.  Died 9 September 2006 in Seminole.  Rosary 11 September 2006 at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.  Mass celebrated 12 September 2006 at St. James Catholic Church.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery.
McAdoo, Patrick Lee A Celebration of Life for Patrick Lee McAdoo, age 66 will be Wednesday, 2:00 P.M. January 3, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Seagraves. Mr. James Kinnaird will officiate with Rev. Dustin McEwen assisting. Burial will follow at the Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves. Services are being provided by Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Seagraves.  Pat was born on January 2, 1940 in Corpus Christi. He moved to Seagraves from Wink, Texas when he was an infant. His dad, L.M. and mother, Martha purchased the local Chevrolet dealership. Pat later became a partner and co-owner of the dealership until his dad passed away in May of 1987.  Pat attended school in Seagraves and graduated as Class President in 1958. He graduated Texas Christian University in 1962. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and very proud of the fact that his son, Rick, attended his alma mater and pledged his fraternity in 1984.  On September 9, 1962 he married the love of his life Carolyn Smith in Seagraves at the First United Methodist Church.  Pat was loyal to Seagraves and its residents. He served as Mayor from 1988 to June, 2006, when he retired. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Seagraves and taught Sunday School for many years. He served on the Seagraves First State Bank Board and served as a member and past chairman of the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission and council of government covering a seventeen county area of the Permian Basin made up of fourteen county judges and four mayors from this area. Pat was also a member of the Rotary Club “Paul Harris Fellow” and has served as an officer of the local club for many years.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home. 1 Son Rick and wife Kristen of Fort Worth and 1 Daughter, Monica McCormick and husband Steve of Seagraves. He also leaves 5 Grandchildren, Allison and Mitchell McCormick and Patrick III, Adam and Erin.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Stephen McCormick, Jr.
McMurry, Katie Walker Age 91, of Seminole.  Died 1 August 2006 in Corpus Christi.  Graveside services 4 August 2006 at Kermit Cemetery.  Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.  She was born in Red Mud, Dickens County.  Survivors:  Daughters, Ann Shelton of Seminole, Jeannie Benson of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
McWhorter, Frank Zuniga Age 39, of Seminole.  Truck driver for CFI and Overbeck Trucking.  Died 19 April 2006 at University Medical Center in Lubbock.  Mass celebrated 21 April 2006 at St. James Catholic Church.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery.  Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  He was born in Seminole.  Survivors:  Daughters, Bethanie Ballard and Hataya McWhorter, both of Andrews; parents Tomas, Sr. and Blanca McWhorter of Seminole; brother, Tomas McWhorter of Seminole; sisters, Annette Almagar of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Norma Almagar of Lubbock.

Doss Mausoleum in Gaines County Cemetery in Seminole under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.  Born 4 July 1947 in Lake Jackson, Texas.  Married Joe Pate, Jr. 23 July 2004 in Lubbock, Texas.  Preceded in death by her husband, C. R. Smith, John Everett Services for John Everett Smith, 87, of Brownfield were held Saturday, Dec. 23, in the Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds and Derek McNamara officiating.
Burial was in Loop Cemetery.  Mr. Smith died Thursday, Dec. 21, in Brownfield.

Died 18 August 2006 in her home in Seminole.  Funeral services 21 August 2006 at First Baptist Church, Andrews.  Burial in Andrews Old Cemetery under direction of McNett Funeral Home.  She was born 26 March 1938 in Greybell, Wyoming.  Married Eddie Gail Stewart 8 September 1957 in Cody, Wyoming.  Survivors:  Eddie Gail Stewart of Seminole; daughter Kelly Stewart Chiles of Seminole; sons, James Eddie Stewart and Bob Stewart, both of Andrews; brother Dean Pawley of Cody, Wyoming; sisters Vada McNeil of Cody, Wyoming and Maryann Hodson of Torryton, Wyoming; grandchildren Christopher Edward Chiles of College Station, Sara Jo Chiles of San Angelo and Cody Gail Stewart of Andrews.

SEAGRAVES — Funeral services for Richard Oren Webb, 56, father of Rene Kayler and husband Doug of Halfway, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Oliver officiating.  Burial will be in Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves by Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.  Mr. Webb died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006.  Plainview Daily Herald, 29 August 2006.
Winkle, Louise Age 73, of Seminole.  Retired schoolteacher.  Died 18 January 2006 in Seminole Memorial Hospital.  Services 21 January 2006 at First Assembly of God Church.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery.  Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.  Born in Yoakum County.  Survivors:  Husband, Leroy Van Winkle of Seminole; son Teddy Van Winkle of Hugoton, Kansas; daughter Brenda Carroll of Spring; sisters, Lenora Whitfield of Seminole and Lois Bea Wilke of Houston; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Wright, Thelma Age 94, of Atkins, Arkansas, formerly of Odessa and Seminole, a homemaker.  Died 14 May 2006 at her residence.  Services 18 May 2006 at Gaines County Cemetery.  Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.  She was born in Antlers, Oklahoma.  Survivors:  Son, Jim Wright of Atkins; daughters, Betty Ho Vickers of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Phyllis Ann Dyer of Morrilton, Arkansas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Zacharias, John G.
