Archer, Mary J. "Bubbles" Mary J. "Bubbles" Archer, 78, of Seminole, died Monday 5 march 2007 at Seminole Memorial Health Care Center.  Services at Westside Church of Christ on Wednesday, 7 March 207.  Interment at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery.  Born in Lamesa, Texas, on 10 May 1928 to Jeff and Margaret Loe.   Married J. W. "Jake" Archer on 3 August 1951.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Joe Walter Loe.  Survived by daugthers Maribeth McConal and husband Barry of Seminole, Denise Delile and husband Wayne of Lewisville, Marsha Dossey and husband Ronney of Seagraves; son Jay Archer and wife Pam of Seminole; sister Latrice Paxton-McBroome of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Chami Spence of Brownfield, Brady McConal of Seagraves, and Amy Delile of Lubbock; two great-grandchildren, Braeden and Sydni Spence of Brownfield; several nieces and nephews.
Barron, Alton Noel Alton Noel Barron, 68, died at his home 20 June 2007.  Born in Seagraves 25 January 1939 to Noel and Dollie Barron.  Attended schools in Seagraves and college at West Texas State University in Canyon.  Married Dixie Finch on 5 December 1959 in Denver City.  Served in United States Army; master electrician; member of IBEW #850 and NECA.  Survivors:  Wife Dixie; daughter Jennifer and husband John Heal of Austin; sons Troy and wife Emily of Whitesboro and Tyler and wife Tonya of Lubbock; grandchildren Tanner Barron Houston, Hailey, Maddie and Murphy Heal of Austin, Tate Barron of Lubbock; brothers Bill Barron and wife Ann of Whitehouse and Roger Barron and wife Barbara of Seagraves.  Preceded in death by his parents; sister Beth Welch; daughter Danna Barron.  Funeral services 3:00 p.m. Saturday, 23 June2007, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.  Interment at Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Billings, Jeremy Quisenberry Jeremy Quisenberry Billings, age 20, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007.  Born February 24, 1987 in Andrews; attended school in Seagraves; member of First United Methodist Church.  Graduated from Seagraves High School in 2005; President of FFA; received Top Hand Award and Greenhand Award in FFA; Senior Sheep Feeder of the year; also in football and National Honor Society; listed in Who's Who in American High Schools.  Worked as a farmer.  Survived by his parents, Danny and Julie Billings of Seagraves and Dennis Quisenberry of Seminole; sister, Danlee Jo Billings of Seagraves; grandparents Tommy and Joan Billings of Seagraves and James and Sandra Wright of Seminole.  Preceded in death by grandparents Daniel and LaQuita Nelson of Seminole and Wilburn Quisenberry of Denver City.  Celebration of life held at First Baptist Church in Seagraves on Friday, October 26, 2007.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Seagraves.
Burrows, Thomas B. Thomas B. Burrows died Thursday, 25 October 2007 at The Life Care Center in Farmington, New Mexico.  Born 11 September 1911 in San Saba, Texas to John Minta Burrows and Lissie Haven Webb Burrows.  Married wife Louise in 1933.  Served on Seminole School Board; 32nd degree Free Mason; member of the order of Scottish Rite; member of the Methodist Church.    Survived by his wife; son Thomas Burrows, Jr. of Buffalo, New York; daughter Sue Jackson and husband James of Newcomb, New Mexico; grandchildren Jim and Joel Jackson, Judith Jackson Martinez and husband Ray, Tremaine Burrows, Gordon burrows and wife Norrah, Kimball Burrows Kelley and husband Leonard and Ann Rosenberg and husband Bruce (deceased); twelve great-grandchildren; brothers William Burrows of Nolanville and James Burrows of Tucson, Arizona; sister-in-law Floy Pittman Henson.  Memorial service at The Life Care Center of Farmington.  Services by Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, Farmington, New Mexico.

Jones Funeral Directors.  Died Thursday, 5 October 2007 in Seminole.  Born 8 March 1913 in Allen, Texas to Irvin and Dessie Oliver.  Survived by son Donald "Ben" Currie and wife Sue, daughter Robbie Belknap and husband Al, all of Seagraves; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, H. T. Oliver, D. B. Oliver, J. B. Oliver and Sam Oliver; two sisters, Josephine Hill and Ruby Fleming.

W. Dukes 7 November 1948 in Lubbock, who preceded her in death 11 December 2005.  Survived by sons Mike and wife Jane Dukes of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Grant and wife Terry Dukes of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Jack Mock of Denver City and Floyd Mock of Big Spring; sister Mary Eunice of Columbus, Nebraska.
Espinoza, Concepcion "Concha" Concepcion "Concha" Espinoza, 74, died Tuesday, 27 March 2007 at her residence in Seagraves.  Rosary 29 March 2007 at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel.  Funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Friday, 30 March 2007 at St. Paul's Catholic Church.  Interment at Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves.  Born 15 August 1932 to Cayetano and Maria Moya in Zorn.  Married Jesus Espinoza, Sr. January 1954. Moved to Seagraves in October of 1954 from Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  Survivors:  Sons Jesse Espinoza, Jr. and Joe Espinoza; daughters Patricia Espinoza, Louisa Expinoza Ayala, Christina Vasquez and Sylvia Martinez, all of Seagraves, and Ester Kuhn of Perrin; sister Juana Perez of Seagraves; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband in 1988; sons Vidal Espinoza, Sr. in 1999 and Daniel Espinoza in 1959; four brothers and one sister.  Services provided by Mark A. Fehr, John Martens Graveside services for John Martens Fehr, 72 of Seminole, Texas will be held Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Gaines County Cemetery, with Rev. David Klassen officiating.  Services will be under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.  Mr. Fehr passed away Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas after a lengthy illness.  He was born April 26, 1934 to Isaak & Katherina Fehr in Mexico.  He married Katherina Fehr on August 2, 1953, in Mexico.  He worked as a mechanic and was affiliated with the Mennonite church.  He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Mr. Fehr is preceded in death by his wifeh Katherina in 1997, as well as his parents, one brother, one sister and two great-grandchildren.  Survivors include:  Three sons, John Fehr, Jr. of Clovis, California, Ben Fehr of Kerman, California, and David Fehr of Seminole, Texas; three daughters, Tina Teichroeb of Seminole, Texas, Helen Friesen of Essex, Missouri and Mary Bergen of Almex, Canada; three brothers, Ben Fehr of Seminole, Texas, Jake and David Fehr, both of Canada; two sisters, Tina Zacharias and Elena Gunter, both of Canada.
Freeman, Wylie Dee Graveside services for Wylie Dee Freeman, 85, of Denver City, Texas will be held on Wednesday March 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Denver City Memorial Park.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Denver City with Rev. Phillip Golden officiating and Rev. Randy Butler and Dr. F. C. Bradley assisting.  All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City.  Mr. Freeman passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at his residence in Denver City following a lengthy illness.  He was born to Mabel and Frank Freeman on January 29, 1922 in Roby, Texas.  He married Earlene Benson on December 19, 1942, in Lamesa, Texas.  Mr. Freeman was a member of the Fist Baptist Church in Denver City.  He farmed in Dawson, Gaines, Yoakum and Andrews counties.  Mr. Freeman served on the Denver City school board for nine years and was a committee member of the ASC office in Andrews, Texas.  Survivors include his wife, Earlene Freeman of Denver City, Texas; two sons, Tommy Freeman of Lubbock, Texas and Gary Freeman of Andrews, Texas; one daughter Linda Squyres of Boise, Idaho; one sister Frankie Young of Denver City, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Garcia, Dominic & Diego Graveside services for infant twins Dominic & Diego Garcia of Lubbock and formerly of Seminole will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at Gaines County Cemetery in Seminole.  Services will be under the direction of Boyer funeral Home.  The infants passed away Saturday March 3, 2007 at University Medical Center in Lubbock.  They were born March 3, 2007 to Lucas Jeremy Garcia and Danielle Lynn Cappell in Lubbock.  Survivors include parents, Lucas Jeremy Garcia and Danielle Lynn Cappell of Lubbock, Texas; maternal grandparents, Kim and Keith Cappell of Michigan; paternal grandmother Julie Garcia of Seminole; paternal grandfather Michael Hernandez of Carrollton, Texas; maternal great-grandmothers Gladys Radiger and Edna Cappell of Michigan; paternal great-grandparents Margarito and Julia Garcia of Hobbs, New Mexico; paternal great-grandmother Delia Darnell of Carrollton, Texas.
Grimes, Agnes Agnes Grimes died at Raritan Health & Extended Care Center in Raritan, New Jersey Saturday, 10 February 2007 at 2:38 p.m.  Born Vineta Agnes Dunlap on 28 September 1908 in the family home on a farm near Noodle, Taylor County, second daughter of David Jackson Dunlap and Josephine Reynolds.  Graduated from Amherst High School; held a business degree from Draughns Business School of Amarillo.  Married Joe W. Grimes 24 December 1931.  Pioneers of Seagraves; owned and operated Grimes Food Store for many years; owned motels in Seagraves and Brownfield; instrumental and influential in oil development in west Texas.  Organized the Fullback Club for mothers of Seagraves football players; charter member of the Band Boosters Club.  She and husband Joe were class parents for classes of 1955 and 1959 at Seagraves High School; active members of 12th Street Church of Christ in Seagraves; involved in civic affairs.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Joe Grimes; sisters Opal Leggitt Barry and Hazel Dooley; brother Andrew Dunlap.  Survived by sons Donald Joe and wife Annie Lou of Bound Brook, New Jersey, and Dennis of Ruidoso, New Mexico; sisters Hattie Hood of Levelland and Isabell Faust of Lubbock; eight grandchildren, Christy Milton and Dr. Scott Milton of Amarillo, Julie Grimes Bottcher of Birmingham, Alabama, Catharine Polsky and Dr. Bruce Polsky of New York, New York, D'Aun and Eric Moore of Los Flores, California, Jennifer Etheridge and Troy Etheridge of Allen, Gregory Joe Grimes and Alison Grimes of Irving, and Joe Dennis Grimes of Fort worth; great-grandchildren Amelia, Audrey and Ashlyn Milton of Amarillo, Matthew Bottcher of Birmingham, Alabama, Sylvie Polsky of New York City, Autumn and Carter Moore of Los Flores, California, Isabella nd Gabriella Etheridge of Allen, and Andrew Joe and Lauren Grimes of Irving; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Services held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, 16 February 2007 at 12th Street Church of Christ in Seagraves.  Interment at Gaines County Cemetery, Seagraves.  Arrangements by Mark A. Hadaway, Jimmy Douglas Jimmy Douglas Hadaway, age 71, of Seagraves passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 in Lubbock.  Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Seagraves.  Graveside Service in Luzbuddie Cemetery Monday, September 17, 2007.  Mr. Hadaway was born September 30, 1935 to Jack and Ida Mae Hadaway of Sudan, Texas.  He moved from Amarillo to Seagraves in 1974.  Graduated from Springlake High School and West Texas State University where he was on the W. T. football team.  Married Jeanette Faulkenberry December 28, 1958 in Seagraves.  Lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table; member of First Baptist Church in Seagraves; teacher and coach for Seagraves ISD; farmer.  Survivors:  Wife, Jeanette; stepmother, Viola Hadaway of Earth, Texas; brother Jerrell Teel Hadaway of Segraves; step-sisters Laura Bartlett of Bovina, Texas and Gaye Scarborough of Earth, Texas; three nieces; three step-nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents.  Services provided by Mark A. Hamilton, Mozelle Kennedy Mozelle Kennedy Hamilton, 91, died Monday, 1 October 2007, in Seminole.  Services Wednesday, 3 October 2007 at 2:00 pm. at 12th Street Church of Christ.  Burial in Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves.  Born 9 January 1916 to Clifford and Mattie Kennedy in Wise County.  Married Lee Roy Hamilton 11 October 1937 in Stanton, Texas.  Survivors:  Sons Jim Hamilton of Seagraves and Dwight Hamilton of Midland; daughter Diann Middleton of Ulysses, Kansas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.  Preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy in 1982; brothers, Clarence, Orval, Otis, Claude and Ceil; sisters Lillian, Virgie and Juanita.  Services by Mark A. Jones funeral Directors in Seagraves.  Born 7 April 1923 to Ransom and Ethel Steveson in Lockney, Texas.  Attended schools in Lockney and Levelland.  Married Ernest "E. T." Hinson 26 April 1941 in Slaton.  Survivors:  Sons L. D. Hinson and wife Judy of Seagraves and Roscoe Hinson and wife Lesley of San Antonio; daughter Colene Hillyard of Austin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.   Preceded in death by her brother Silvin Steveson.
Hollifield, Pauline "Polly" Pauline "Polly" Hollifield, 87, of Seagraves died Thursday, 27 September 2007 in Seminole.  Graveside services Sunday, 30 September 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Gaines County Cemetery.  Services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.  Born 2 May 1920 in McAlister, Oklahoma, to Jesse and Dollie Parker.  Married Tommy Hollifield in Seagraves in March 1981.   Homemaker; member of First Baptist Church.  Preceded in death by first husband Claude E. Reed in 1979 and second husband Tommy Hollifield 26 January 1988; two brothers; three sisters.  Survived by sons Bill Hollilfield of Stanton and Gary Hollifield and wife, Laura, of Greenwood; daughters Linda Shumake and husband John of Midland, Cathy Yocom and husband Garrison of Seagraves, and Janice Fulford of Slaton; sisters Geraldine Thompson of Amarillo and Jackie Taylor of Canyon Lake, California; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Howle, Garrett Wayne Garrett Wayne Howle, age 12, died Friday, 9 February 2007.  Born 27 June 1994 in Seminole; lifelong resident of Idalou.  Survived by his mother Melanie Howle of Idalou; maternal grandparents Donna and Stan Howle of Idalou; uncle Michael and wife Tisha Howle and cousins, Jacob, Jessie and Jenna Howle; aunt Kristie and Robert Richards and cousins Kelsey, Kaeley and Riley Richards of Idalou; great uncle Pee Wee Clanton and wife Jo and their children, Meg Pankey and Courtney Broome of Monroe, Louisiana; great aunt Tricia and husband Ronnie Metsgar of Post and their child, Christopher of Lubbock.  Visitation Friday, 16 February 2007 at White Funeral Homer in Idalou.  Services Saturday, 17 February 2007 at Trinity Church in Lubbock.  Interment in Idalou Cemetery.
Jeffcoat, Dorothy Funeral services for Dorothy Jeffcoat, 75, of Seagraves held Monday, March 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church.  Interment in O'Donnell Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.  Died Friday, March 9, 2007 in Brownfield.  Born 30 April 1931 in McMinville, Tennessee to Bill and Fannie Gann.  After their death, adopted by Russell and Vera McSwan at the age of two.  Married Olan McKenzie of Southland, Texas 19 November 1947; after his death in 1964, married Marshall "Cowboy" Jeffcoat 18 January 1980.  Lived in Munday for several years before returning to Seagraves where she worked at the Little Store for many years.  Administrative Assistant for Seagraves Senior Citizens Center.  Preceded in death by her husband, Olan; daughter Karen Sue McKensie; husband "Cowboy" Jeffcoat 2 October 1997; one brother, four sisters and a daughter-in-law.  Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Carolyn McKenzie of Seagraves, Ted and Terri McKenzie of Waco, and tom and Janet McKenzie of Seagraves; two sisters, Gladys Caffee of Petty, Texas and Patsy Mull of Hobbs, New Mexico; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Latham, Perlena Smith "Punk" Perlena Smith "Punk" Latham, 71 of Hobbs, New Mexico, formerly of Seminole, died at her home on 13 March 2007.  Daughter of Ed and Lucille McKee of Seminole.  Attended Seminole schools and graduated in 1954.  Owner of Perlena's Dress Shop in Seminole; member of China Painting Club of Seminole.  Survived by her husband, Ray Latham; daguther D'Ann and husband Dusty Blackmon; four grandchildren, Kaitlin, Dallas and Kolt Blackmon of Seminole, and Kaci Loffler of Odessa; brother Sam McKee and wife Gay of wolfforth; sister Shirley Ford of Midland; aunt Lona Noss of Hobbs.  Services at Jefferson Street Church of Christ in Hobbs, New Mexico, Saturday 17 March 2007.
