Center unless otherwise noted. For events held at the center, there is an
optional lunch at the nearby Omni Hotel
Westside at 11 AM.

4, 2010 Bus trip to Clayton Library Center for Genealogical
Research. We will meet at the Bear Creek Community Center at 9:00
AM and return to the center around 4 PM. Please sign up at a
regular meeting or contact a society member. Note that it is at least a
2 block walk to any restaurants and the vending machines are not
recommended. You may wish to bring your own lunch. There
will be no meeting or lunch on November 11.
DecemberDecember 9, 2010 Holiday party
at Bear Creek Community Center,as well as Show and Tell. There will be no lunch at the Omni,
as we will have food at the meeting.

January 13, 2011 Board and planning meeting. At Bear Creek Community Center immediately after the regular meeting. Everyone
is welcome. We will form a nominating committee for the 2011-2012
to fill the officer positions and a directorship.

Washington County tour. We will start
with the Chappell Hill Museum which depicts life in 19th century
Texas and then tour the adjacent Providence Baptist Church, built in
1873. After lunch at Bever’s Kitchen (1907), we will view the Old Rock
Store (1869) with its quilt depicting the history of the area. After a
visit to the United Methodist Church (1901), we will continue to the Brenham
Heritage Museum in the “modern” (1915) Post Office Building.
Our bus leaves the Bear Creek
Community Center at 8:30 AM sharp and will return by 5 PM. Cost will be
