W.O. Haggard, Jr. Library
Genealogy, Local History, Texana and Archives
For more information about the library and to access the card catalog, please contact the Plano Public Library System.
The genealogy collection has moved to the W.O. Haggard, Jr. Library and is open for business! The old figures of over 3,100 items and over 200 microforms are outdated - it has been growing greatly in the last several years and the area in Haggard will allow for even more expansion. The information is contained in several formats - microfilm, microfiche, CD-ROM, vertical file, periodicals, and, of course, books.
The library has a subscription to Ancestry Library Edition and Footnote.com, both of which can be accessed from any Internet computer at any library in the Plano Library System. The library also offers the TexShare Databases, a project of the Texas State Library. These databases can be accessed from home or work by library patrons. Just stop by any Plano library to request the login and password information.
