Welcome!  My name is Douglas Anderson.  I am the volunteer host for Goliad County, Texas web site, a branch of the TXGenWeb Project and the USGenWeb Project.  Goliad County, Texas being a historically significant landmark has allowed it to be the study of many historians, researchers, and the like.  Because of it's attractiveness as a focal point in the regional history of Texas and Mexico, as well as internationally, much has been documented and archived throughout the course of history   If you have any genealogical or historical books,  manuscripts, papers, etc. pertaining to Goliad County, other resources you would like to share, present on this web site, suggestions, and/or would like to volunteer to perform lookups, cemetery surveys, census transcriptions, please email me at: Douglas Anderson

DEWITT COUNTY

     A county with significant historical legacies dating back to the origins of Texas, this county web site is host to extensive historical and genealogical resources. Transcriptional presentations of early editions of Cuero Newspapers is just one example of the rewarding resources that can be found on this Web site.  The host for the DeWitt County TXGenWeb site is Teri Brown.

NORTHEAST:

VICTORIA COUNTY

     Victoria County was honored to now be included in the TXGenWeb Project Hall of Fame .  It had previously been honored with the 2009 TXGenWeb Project County of the Year, the Mike Basham Memorial Award,  the TXGenWeb County of the Month for 2005, the Victoria TXGenWeb site is host to most extensive genealogical and historical resources.  Victoria, the county seat, is a regional hub for historical and genealogical research.  It is home to the Victoria College and University of Houston-Victoria Library, Victoria Public Library, the Victoria Advocate Newspaper, and the Victoria County Genealogical Society.  The hosts of the Victoria County TXGenWeb site are Cynthia and Jack Buttram .

NORTHWEST:

KARNES COUNTY

     An excellent historical and genealogical research web site with extensive resources and links to some of the best search engines on the world wide web.  This county is hosted by a staff member of the TXGenWeb Project who is the Project's Page Designer,  Kimm Antell .

SOUTHEAST:

REFUGIO COUNTY

     An award winning genealogical web site with the most extensive resources.  This web site is truly one of the best in the nation with regards to genealogical research. BEE COUNTY

     Another county with its' origins from Goliad County, and the county seat of Beeville, this web site has extensive historical and genealogical resources available to the researcher.  A digitized online copy of "The Historical Story of Bee County Texas",  (LCN-73-8308), by Camp Ezell, is just one example of the many resources presented by Bee County.  The current host for the Bee County TXGenWeb site is Billie Nichols Bennett.
