GONZALES COUNTY ARCHIVES & RECORDS CENTER REGULATIONS & GUIDELINES Open Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. 1. Registration is required: name, postal & e-mail address, purpose of visit 2. All personal papers and belongings must be placed in lockers 3. Paper and pencils will be provided. No pens allowed. 4. Any papers used by researcher will be checked at departure. 5. Visitors are not allowed beyond the research table area. The Center reserves the right to deny access to individuals that mishandle materials and records or elect to ignore basic rules of appropriate conduct. 6. Card catalogs and lists of available sources are accessible to the public 7. Employees will pull the requested material only 1 source at a time. 8. White gloves must be worn when handling primary source material, photographs, and old records. 9. Do not disturb the order or arrangement of unbound material. 10. Do not re-shelve books or folders. 11. No materials or books may be taken from the Center. 12. Copies will be made by employees at $0.50 per page. The researcher will assume full responsibility for conforming to the laws of copyright, literary rights, and libel. 13. Materials for sale: (See attendant for details) a.
