OBITUARY:
Chapman, Willard - 4 p.m., Carmichael-Whatley Colonial
Chapel
WILLARD CHAPMAN
June 20, 1894 - November 16, 1983
Services for Willard Chapman, 89, resident of
Pampa Nursing Center, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in
the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Officiating will
be Rev. Dr. Bill Boswell, pastor of First Christian
Church.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the
direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
Mr. Chapman died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday at Coronado
Community Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1894, at Durango, Texas.
He moved to Pampa in 1940 from Lubbock. He was a World
War I veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the
First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Willard Cullen Chapman, Jr.,
Dallas; three brothers, Alton Chapman, Gatesville, Joe
Chapman, Oakland, Calif., and Sam Chapman of California;
one nephew, E.H. Ousley, Jr., Pampa; two grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
