This particular Directory is in terrible shape, it was printed on
two kinds of paper, one of which has fallen into a crumbly condition
while the other is in good shape for its age. The book is unable to be
handled so it is a delight to be able to place it online for unlimited use.

Blue Color denotes the pages that covered advertisements, government & office holders,railroads and various other community organizations etc. Some of these are very interesting and show even the amusements available in Sherman at the time.
Yellow
color denotes the neighborhood and the names of the people in them.

the person by name and noting the street name ,
go to the street index
in Yellow and see the make up of the neighborhood and neighbors they had.
The Orange
section is the Sherman City Directory by Surname.

(C) by a name means 'Colored'
Green Section denotes the Sherman Directory by type of business.
