Sherman, Texas - Graveside services for Ellen Sue Nelson, age 81, of Sherman, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2003 at Akers Cemetery in Sherman with the Chaplain of Home Hospice of Grayson County, Rev. Martha Mattner, officiating. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Nelson passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at IHS in Sherman.
She was born in Gordonville, Texas on December 13, 1924, the daughter of Jessie Gilbert and Ola Mae (Cantwell) Cullum and she married Howard D. Nelson who preceded her in death on November 22, 1972.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of Crutchfield Heights Baptist Church and she was employed as a hostess for Tatum Steakhouse.
Ellen Sue Nelson is survived by her son, Gil Nelson and his wife Francis Nelson of Sherman; brother, William Cullum of Gainesville, Texas; sister-in-law, Virginia Chandler of Arlington, Texas; brother-in-law, Leonard Nelson of Sherman; and granddaughter, Christina Nelson of Denton, Texas.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Olene Richardson; and a brother, J.C. Cullum.
Donations are asked to be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County in lieu of flowers.
