MRS. AMANDA C. PONDER DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS
Mrs. Amanda C. Ponder, age 39 years, died in Sherman at 2:15 o'clock Wednesday morning following an illness of one week. Mrs. Ponder resided on Sherman, Route 4. Survivors of Mrs. Ponder are Monroe Ponder, husband; Flora, Daisy, Annie, Evelyn, Harley, John and Milton, children; Mrs. Malinda Ponder of Sherman, a sister; and J.M. Swafford of Styleboro, Ga., a brother.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending a message from her brother. Services will be held in the Forest Avenue Baptist Church, with Ref. J.C. Skaggs officiating. Burial will be in Akers cemetery.
