Cecil Thomas Ross

 Services for Cecil Thomas Ross, 85, of Sherman, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 23, 2009 at the United Pentecostal Church of Savoy with Pastor Virgil Cornwell officiating. The burial will follow at Akers Cemetery in Sherman. Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. 
He passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX. 
Cecil was born on January 25, 1924, in Leonard, TX the son of Wiley and Bertha McBride Ross. He married Edith Evelyn Thompson on Feb 12, 1944 in Durant, OK. She preceded him in death on June 8, 1987. Cecil loved camping, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Savoy. 
Cecil is survived by his daughter, Judy Kumler of Sherman, TX, daughter, Brenda Dutton and husband Danny of Sherman, TX, son, Ron Ross and wife Fran of Sherman, TX, six grandchildren, Kristal Brown and husband Greg of Bells, TX, Shane Kumler and wife Melissa of Sherman, TX, Jarod Dutton and wife Tenneil of Sherman, TX, Ronnie Dutton and wife Brina of Sherman, TX, Amy Wilson and husband Brent of Sherman, TX and Ronna Rivas and husband Christian of Frisco, TX, 12 great grandchildren, Ross Brown, Ramzi Brown, Krisalan Brown, Colten Kumler, Kaden Kumler, Kollin Kumler, Caleb Kumler, Gabe Dutton, Grey Dutton, Alex Wilson, Eliot Wilson and Aaron Wilson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Jodie Head and Floy Thompson, special friend, Joyce Hall and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son Larry Thomas Ross, brothers, Clyde, James and Alvin Ross, sister, Lilly Faye Galyon and son in law, Mike Kumler.
